1. Kumana National Park (Yala East)

Birdwatchers can expect to see species like the brown-capped babbler, grey-headed fish eagle, and Sri Lanka paradise flycatcher. The park's large reservoir attracts a variety of water birds, making it a great spot for bird enthusiasts.

5. Horton Plains National Park

• Location: Central Sri Lanka
• Highlights: This high-altitude park is famous for its cool climate and breathtaking views. It's home to a number of endemic birds such as the Sri Lanka bush warbler, yellow-eared bulbul, and Sri Lanka white-eye. Horton Plains is an ideal place for birdwatching in the early morning.
